A private driver for the Strasbourg Christmas market
From late November to late December, Strasbourg city centre is almost entirely closed to cars. Jean drops you as close as possible and picks you up at the agreed time.
What changes during the market
The Christmas market spreads over several squares in the historic centre, including place Broglie and the area around the cathedral. While it is on, access to the Grande Île is controlled and car traffic is heavily restricted. The exact dates of each edition are published by the City of Strasbourg.
How Jean organises it
- Arrival: pick-up at the airport, the station or your hotel, drop-off at an accessible point on the edge of the centre.
- Return: meeting point and time agreed in advance.
- Luggage: if you arrive on the day, Jean drops you at your hotel first.

Frequently asked questions
Can I be driven right up to the Christmas market?
Not into the heart of it: while the market is on, traffic is heavily restricted in the city centre (the Grande Île). Jean drops you as close as possible, at an accessible point, and you walk the last part.
Can you pick us up in the evening after the market?
Yes. You agree in advance on the time and on a meeting point outside the closed area.
Can you drive us from Frankfurt, Basel or Strasbourg airport?
Yes. Many visitors fly into Frankfurt, Basel-Mulhouse or Strasbourg-Entzheim: Jean drives you to your hotel, with fixed prices for these airports.
Should I book well in advance?
It is the busiest time of year in Strasbourg, especially at weekends. Book as soon as your dates are known.
